Dear Diary, (which I shouldn't be posting on the internet)
The weekend started and is now ending. Alot has happened. Whitney Houston died yesterday at age 48 which is shocking for me because it's all I hear of, wonderful, amazing artists dying at a young age. Before it was Amy Whinehouse and before that Michael Jackson. Life is so short, we really do have to make the most of it. I finished another review yesterday which took awhile to edit. The review was on Blood-C a Japanese anime by my favourite arists called CLAMP. I was very happy with the end results and already received some positive feedback which has left thee quite chuffed.
Deactivating facebook has been so good, like freeing myself but also I feel as though I don't know what's going on in the world. Twitter is good, but facebook is alot more multimedia, its not just status updates but photos, tags, games, videos etc. On twitter, you can post photos but it becomes alink which takes you to another page. Also not alot of people I know use twitter.
I think I will wait though, there is no need to rush. I'm not missing alot I am quite sure. Discovered a friend's blog today and enjoyed reading it called Kat. And it's getting very quiet and lonely on campus. Everyone has either gone home or are in their rooms doing their thing. Iam trying everything I can to pass the time, I think I'm going to go for a walk outside later to get some fresh air and then maybe continue my novel. My novel hit a deadend recently. I can understand the dilemma J.K. Rowling went under when she wrote Goblet of Fire. My novel recently has hit a calm point which I'm not inspired to write yet.
And then the solution hit me, why didn't I think of it sooner. Why not write the chapter you really want to write first and fill in the gaps later? The only problem with this approach is just to make sure no paradoxes or contradictions occur, that you keep in mind everything that has happened and what will occur, to keep spoilers to a minimum in respect to other chapters.
So the good news? Novel is back on track and I'm also getting there with my vocaloid dance that I'm learning for a group. The Clockwork_Vocaloid group is a cosplay group that does singing and dancing of the popular japanese programme the vocaloids. The character I'm doing is called Mikuo and has blue hair. I know right? Retro. The dance I'm doing is quite simple, but I'm getting there. One thing about the vocaloid dances I struggle with is that they're so controlled and precise, and yet simple. It's not like dancing in a club or disco where you let your hair down and just boogey to the beat, you have to control your direction of movements and yet it still has to be free because otherwise it's not dancing.
Next week begins our reading week and Valentine's Day will be upon us. Another day to remind me that I'm single and oh how unromantic my life is at the moment. Apart from that my life is GREAT! But good news, gonna see thy family next weekend and HyperJapan the following weekend with my friend, Kaerith. It shall be interesting to see, a Sora and an Aerith going through London Tubes......
