Diary Entry #3 Who cares what the date is anymore?

Dear Diary, (which I shouldn't be posting on the internet)
The weekend started and is now ending. Alot has happened. Whitney Houston died yesterday at age 48 which is shocking for me because it's all I hear of, wonderful, amazing artists dying at a young age. Before it was Amy Whinehouse and before that Michael Jackson. Life is so short, we really do have to make the most of it. I finished another review yesterday which took awhile to edit. The review was on Blood-C a Japanese anime by my favourite arists called CLAMP. I was very happy with the end results and already received some positive feedback which has left thee quite chuffed.
Deactivating facebook has been so good, like freeing myself but also I feel as though I don't know what's going on in the world. Twitter is good, but facebook is alot more multimedia, its not just status updates but photos, tags, games, videos etc. On twitter, you can post photos but it becomes alink which takes you to another page. Also not alot of people I know use twitter.

I think I will wait though, there is no need to rush. I'm not missing alot I am quite sure. Discovered a friend's blog today and enjoyed reading it called Kat. And it's getting very quiet and lonely on campus. Everyone has either gone home or are in their rooms doing their thing. Iam trying everything I can to pass the time, I think I'm going to go for a walk outside later to get some fresh air and then maybe continue my novel. My novel hit a deadend recently. I can understand the dilemma J.K. Rowling went under when she wrote Goblet of Fire. My novel recently has hit a calm point which I'm not inspired to write yet.

And then the solution hit me, why didn't I think of it sooner. Why not write the chapter you really want to write first and fill in the gaps later? The only problem with this approach is just to make sure no paradoxes or contradictions occur, that you keep in mind everything that has happened and what will occur, to keep spoilers to a minimum in respect to other chapters.

So the good news? Novel is back on track and I'm also getting there with my vocaloid dance that I'm learning for a group. The Clockwork_Vocaloid group is a cosplay group that does singing and dancing of the popular japanese programme the vocaloids. The character I'm doing is called Mikuo and has blue hair. I know right? Retro. The dance I'm doing is quite simple, but I'm getting there. One thing about the vocaloid dances I struggle with is that they're so controlled and precise, and yet simple. It's not like dancing in a club or disco where you let your hair down and just boogey to the beat, you have to control your direction of movements and yet it still has to be free because otherwise it's not dancing.

Next week begins our reading week and Valentine's Day will be upon us. Another day to remind me that I'm single and oh how unromantic my life is at the moment. Apart from that my life is GREAT! But good news, gonna see thy family next weekend and HyperJapan the following weekend with my friend, Kaerith. It shall be interesting to see, a Sora and an Aerith going through London Tubes......

Twitter~ Is it pointless or not?

My wonderful friend Kaerith first introduced me to twitter in the year me believes of 2010 or posssibly 2009. Kaerith loves to roleplay on twitter as characters from the Final Fantasy series for fun. Roleplaying on twitter, how do I describe it. Well you pretend to be a character from a series. So for example pretend I'm roleplaying Postman Pat on twitter and discussing with Bob the Builder about the weather but it has to be in Postman's character. Not mine, so for example:

Postman_Pat: @Bob_Build Good Morning Bob! Here's you're post. *cough*

Bob_Build: @Postman_Pat Oh Hey Pat! Didn't cya there! Fine morning we're having!

In reply to Bob_Build, Postman_Pat replies: @Bob_Build *mumbles* gotta deliver more letters you nitwit T.T

In reply to Postman_Pat, Bob_Build replied: @Postman_Pat Cheerios mate (assho***).

So that's twitter roleplaying for you in a punch. Now I joined it and roleplayed a random character from a series called Hell Girl which proved completely unsuccessful. Final Fantasy being a very popular and well known series is more easier to roleplay in. So twitter became very silly and pointless for me. It made no sense for me. What on earth was @ for? And why did  people use a hashtag like this # followed by a word? What on earth did RT mean? And why did people talk very cryptically and as though they're not having a conversation but spouting out nonsense. I gave up twitter and left my account to gather dust.

Time passed and at the end of 2011 I decided to change my twitter account from a roleplaying one to one that was me as real person so from a random character it became Yours Truly. After getting an ipod touch and downloading twitter as an App, it somehow became more enjoyable. It felt like texting but with no worry of spending credit. I began to understand all those acronyms and technical terms. RT means retweet. The hashtag is used to show your tweet in the trends for that word. You use @ to direct a tweet towards someone. And then that's when I discoved it. You can tweet to celebrities. Yes, they don't reply, and you can kind of see why after searching @celebrity's name to see that tweets of 50 directed towards that celebrity pop up every 10 seconds. But it feels so good to say thankyou for something or appreciate something they've done.

Another reason I began to like Twitter was that unlike Facebook, I could talk about rubbish without irritating people on Facebook. When you update your status update quite a number of times on facebook, people don't like it, it spams the newsfeed and they'd rather hear from other people than just you. And also some people don't know you can alter settings to restrict how many posts you receive from a person.

So yes, you can tweet rubbish, crazy things, blow steam and the best thing is it's like social dieting. On facebook your status update can be quite a long status update, whilst Twitter restricts you to only tweet with 140 characters. At first, when using it, this sounds ridiculous but you get used to it over time and it also helps you get to the point quicker. Have you ever found that you can go on and on and on with a status update, whilst in Twitter, you just say what's on your mind and BAM your done.

My last reason for beginning to like Twitter and finally understanding it's reason for exsisting is a personal reason. Facebook became such a hassle recently, as well as drama, annoying people and constant pestering it can sometimes become too much and also addictive, there are times where you realize your just on Facebook wasting time. After deactivating my account and using Twitter it feels good for alot of reasons.

Reason 1. Less people use twitter because they think it's stupid. So less people hassle you, less drama on there. (unless all your friends use twitter I am so sorry for saying that, you find that reason doesn't apply to you).

Reason 2. You can't use Twitter for very long periods like Facebook, you do eventually have enough of tweeting, so it doesn't become addictive like Facebook. In other words, you spend time doing other things.

And finally, I like Twitter, for this reason too. He hasn't appeared in awhile. But for those of you who don't know meet 'The Fail Whale' :)
Whenever Twitter becomes over-capacity, our wonderful friend the 'Fail Whale' greets us to tell us tweeting just isn't possible :D Oh isn't life just amusing on social network sites. XDDDDD

Diary Entry #2 10th February 2012 Voting and yessss it's the weekend.

Dear Diary, (that shouldn't be posted on the internet)
Today was a really nice day, the sun was shining, the sky was clear but unfortunately the University forgot to clear the ice patch I was walking on making me nearly have a slip trip. Today I was happy because I got to vote and make my voice heard but also I got slightly annoyed with someone smoking in the queue. I tend to get home and find my clothes smell like they've left over a chimney and I don't like it, it doesn't smell like cologne it smells like I work in a victorian factory with smoke. My friend, Hubert. (Alias name being used ;) ) told me some good news today, the coursework I've been struggling with, turns out I got an extension that I didn't know about. Isn't that great? I don't have to worry about it for another week.
Next week: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Anyway, what else. Oh yes, the snow still loves us, it still hasn't melted yet. It just loves it here I guess. And the craving for videogames has been on the rise, really need to play Eternal Sonata and Final Fantasy XIII-2. I hate it when a new videogame is released but I cannot play it because I don't have the home console with me. Meanwhile everyone is talking about it, playing it, enjoying it, blogging it, youtubing it, criticizing it. Really enjoyed the demo but I wanna play my game. :(
Tonight I think my friends want to watch another film, its quite obvious what it's going to be I think. Paranormal Activity 3, before that it was Paranormal Activity 2 and before that the first one of the saga. Paranormal Activity 2 was okay but it started off to slowly and only the night was interesting, is it just me but why do the characters constantly film each other, in the first one it's understandable, there's a demon and they need to record its activites but in the second film I kind of got the impression that they didn't think there was a demon.

I hated the ending of Paranormal Activity 1. It was so horrible and creepy. I think it's because it's more realistic, everything happens in real-time and it's done as though it's being filmed by the characters not with a film-crew if that makes any sense. Her face, oh dear, her face, that was something nobody should see before heading off to the land of nod.
And with that ends my second diary entry. I can't think of anything else to say. Thankyou for listening to my narration of a boring day diary and sorry for posting ya on the internet.
Good Afternoon
TokyoDreamer9

I like voting, ticking boxes can be so much fun! *nods head*

Today I voted and it felt so good. No, it wasn't for anything big like who's the next president for USA or the next prime-minister of the U.K. . It was just selecting presidents for clubs and socities for our uni campus. I can see why people fight for their voices, for freedom of speech. It feels so wonderful to have a say in something and I do love ticking boxes, it makes me feel like I did something special. (Just to clarify I didn't do anything special all I did was vote) But still it's something very special I think. Why did I want to share this?
It just made me wonder what is it about Voting that brings all this hype. The Arab Spring lately is about getting a vote and democracy and why people are going forward in protests even though blood-shed is the huge obstacle that lies ahead. Not having an ability to vote is kind of like not being able to talk, like someone has pressed the mute button, you can't say what you want, what you need, your problems. So, yes voting is something very special.

TokyoDreamer9 likes Tumblr more some reason

Is TokyoDreamer9 a TumblrAddict or Blogging-Holic?
Don't get me wrong, it's not that I hate this blogging thing. It's just so mysterious to me, like trying to use a telegram, tumblr is so niche and trendy and I like how its simple to do things on there and you don't have to think about it or be serious just post to thy hearts content. Anyway, here is thy url for thy tumblr account. Do check it out! I find it alittle more easier to post on there random stuff but do not count me out for this blogging thing, I shall make it mine to behold.
TokyoDreamer9 has just betrayed blogging (Hang ur head in shame!)

Diary Log Entry #1 9th February 2012 Life sucks basically!!!

Right, I'm starting this project of doing a diary and seeing whether I can do it or not so here I go.
Dear Diary (that shouldn't be posted on the internet),
I decided to post my personal problems on thy blog because alas telling them to people is not always good and also I have no money for a counsellor. Anyway here's what I thought about today...
Today was quite a tiring day. All my lectures were too boring to listen to, I really shouldn't say that but they were. Ever since coming to university I have found that I feel like I'm taking a step backwards in learning. Who was the genius that thought, yes let's have one person talk for 45 minutes straight at a class of 200 people yabbering on and on without any interaction with the audience. In secondary school, I remember we used to have the teacher talk for a certain period of time and then stop and allow us to discuss it with a partner and then go around and ask the students whether they understood etc. I guess that's why they call it a lecture, it's meant to be called that because it's usually associated with the words 'dry', 'dull' and 'boring'.
Anyway what else happened today. I made pasta, and mixed it with some sauce that was red and just checked is call Harwood's Kan Po sauce. Wow! What a name. Anyway not buying it again, made my mouth burn with all those chillis.
I'm stuck on coursework...... and I think I'm going to stay stuck for quite awhile.......
And I'm still hooked on Law and Order SVU. I'm watching season 4 at the moment, it's been okay season 4 but I gotta say the second half was alot better. The first half made my brain hurt as it got too confusing with the plot. I like crime stories like this: murder+ cops+ finding killer+ trial+ twist= good plot. Murder+cops+finding killer+not right killer+ another case+ what's going on now+ trial+ ends randomly= Right Law and Order, bless you but I didnt understand where that plot was going.
I decided to also update my blog because it's just been sitting there gathering dust and I decided to revolutionise it abit. Add some spices here and there.
And lastly today I have been looking for jobs. Why oh why is it hard to find jobs. If it's not the fact that it's too far away, or you need  a car, or certain specific skills, or that it's full-time and your kind of a student and can't make those hours. And I'm really fed up of every con-man on the internet going: Hey There! I can show you how to make tons of money overnight. So yes, there's alot of problems at the moment. But where there's problems there is always a solution and I'm going to just keep putting on my poker face and hope that solution is grinning like a cheshire cat just around the corner.
Night night
This is TokyoDreamer9 ending his rant for the day.
Au revoir

TokyoDreamer9 is reborn!!!

Hey there! TokyoDreamer9 reporting!!! I haven't done alot with my blog but after releasing my new youtube channel and bringing together Tumblr and Twitter I decided to update how I do my blogging. I will try to update this as much as possible when I can. In the meantime I hope you enjoy reading my posts and I look forward to hearing people's responses. Thankyou Over and out!!
Bye!!! ^^
